9th-10th Grade Biology

Course Description: Biology is a lab-based course which engages students in scientific practices with the goal of increasing students' understanding of life science. Topics such as the flow of energy within and between organisms, genetics, ecosystems and the environment are explored through labs, textbook readings, outlines and research questions. 

Classroom Work: Class time will be spent almost exclusively completing the labs for this course and may include onsite quizzes and tests

Homework: Daily homework will include videos, outlines, review, lab completion and research questions. 

Time Expectations: 45 mins/day

Lab fees: A required lab fee of $150 will be collected prior to the start of the school year.
