Required Textbooks: BJU World Studies (5th Edition) Student Text and Student Activity Manual

Course Description: This colorful text provides age appropriate informational text and activities about key events during middle and modern history.  It includes maps, graphs, charts, photographs, and illustrations to enhance learning. While surveying world history from the 1300s to present, students will evaluate societies through a biblical worldview and consider the connections between key events. Students will develop a familiarity with historical figures, primary sources, atlases, and more. In addition to required readings and workbook assignments, map work, timelines and current events will help students grow their knowledge of the past, its relevance today and their stewardship of it.

Classroom Work: Instruction, class discussion, projects, presentations, group work, quizzes.

Homework: Reading, timeline, current events, comprehension questions, map work, assigned projects, tests.
